Pho K&A Local Vietnamese Cuisine Reviews

A local gem! I passed by the night before on the way to dinner at another restaurant, but the menu caught my eye. I'm always down to try a vegetarian pho as it's hard to find one that has a flavorful broth. Be sure to request the vegan pho ($15 for regular, $17 for large) as there's also a vegetable and tofu pho on the menu but made with beef broth. The staff kindly pointed it out when I placed my order to make sure I was getting the correct one (which I appreciated!). Thank goodness there was a smaller portion, as it turned out to be the perfect size for me! Seems like the restaurant is family-owned and it's managed by the nicest staff. They seemed very happy to be there and worked really hard. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and had the largest smiles on their faces. If I lived on the islands, I would definitely come and support them all the time. TIP: if you pay with cash/debit card, you avoid a 3% surcharge.

Loved this pho place! One of the best I've had coming from socal and vietnam! The staff is super friendly and meal portions were very generous and affordable.

We are baaaccckkkk, haha. This quickly streaming up to one of our favorites Vietnamese spots. The order: Creatures of Habit, exactly the same as last time. Food was just as great as our last stops in. Everyone devoured and left with Hapoy Tummies. Son son is actually still going on tapioca pudding. The same server, who at this point I assume to be an owner. Just as friendly and personable as the last time. Glad for the restaurant on this occasion, the place is packed. Btw sorry about my autocorrect typos below haha.

Prices in Honolulu are high for everything and eating at even a fast casual restaurant is often unreasonable. This place was competitive in price, generous in the size of the large bowls of pho, and very delicious. My wife and I both had pho with sliced beef and brisket. Flavor was as good as any Vietnamese place we've visited on the mainland and better than most. Indeed, I am used to broth that is sickeningly sweet to accommodate the American palate; this restaurant was perfectly balanced in taste. Service was provided by the owner who demonstrated appreciation for her customers and gave us mint, utensils and extra condiments on request. Atmosphere was clean and not particularly exciting, but for the price it was fine.

A friend of mine who lives nearby recommended this place. And I'm so glad he did. I love pho! It's so satisfying and delicious while still being light. I did a to go order and my partner picked it up. I scarfed it down and my kids loved it too. Definitely delicious with great portion sizes. Thank you!

Quick service, friendly staff, tasty food and massive portions. We took a lot home. Restaurant was quiet as we went at midday.

Hungry for pho and found Pho K&A on yelp - with pretty good reviews we decided to give it a try ! Located in a busy area and they have a parking lot but we were able to find street parking at lunchtime just make sure you have either a credit card or coins!! Friendly staff and seated quickly - today there was only one server but she was friendly- quick to seat us & get us menus and water! Seafood pho - great flavor soup with a good portion of noodles and enough seafood variety to make a great lunch Summer roll - lots of veggies and noodles with shrimp- peanut sauce excellent Banh mi - great roll - loved the chicken which was well marinated and served hot with great fresh veggies- excellent sandwich Overall we had a great meal - beverages are a bit pricey but you always have water as an option. Service is great and we plan on returning soon.

The menu at the restaurant was pretty extensive offering a variety of Vietnamese food. I was torn between the Bun bo hue and a vermicelli bowl but I guess I'm just going to have to come back for that bowl a little later time. The Bun bo hue came the way I like it, traditional, with all the body parts represented The summer rolls were very tasty and very refreshing to eat on a warm day. They were slightly pricier than what I would have expected but they were quite full and plentiful.

I was really impressed with my experience at Pho K&A. This is a hidden gem in Kapahulu! The restaurant was very clean, service was great and most importantly the food was amazing! I've been searching for a good broken rice spot ever since I studied abroad in Vietnam and Pho K&A is one of the few restaurants on the island that serves it. The rest of my family ordered various bowls of pho and they all enjoyed their dishes. I'd highly recommend this spot for a casual evening out. Will be back again soon!

Found this spot because of you beautiful Yelpers. Thank you for never steering me wrong It's on the side of road and you'd miss it if you were driving and not looking for it intentionally It's a small spot that feels like you're in their home. The waiter was super cool and had a nice talk with him after done eating. Very very friendly and made it a home atmosphere The ice coffee? Vietnamese coffee is amazing and this was practically a dessert. Loved it I got the Short Rib pho and my girlfriend got the bbq pork vermicelli with a spring roll Both meats were cooked great. Both PACKED with noodles and toppings too. The broth in the pho was a little bland but nothing a little bit of chili oil can't fix The BBQ pork slapped. Wish I ordered that honestly. Even more noodle than the pho and didn't need broth (vermicelli doesn't come with it) because it was so flavorful The spring roll... by far the best spring roll I ever had. Get those Only reason it's not a 5 star is because of the broth in the pho. Still... Give this place a visit !!
